Are they heated?
What does the Sports Pools have that the Neighborhood & Family Pools don't?

The sports pools are heated to 82-84 degrees. They are longer than the neighborhood pools, most are 25 yards, although a couple, Hacienda and Savannah I believe, are only 20 yards. If you are a lap swimmer, 25 yards is standard. Two of the pools have starting blocks, Laurel Manor and Mulberry, which are necessary for people to dive off of during swim meets. The Villages Senior games swimming events are held each year at the Laurel Manor pool. The Villages Swim team (VAST) practices on a regular basis at Mulberry pool.

The neighborhood pools are also heated to about 83 degrees. Here's a link.

Mulberry and Laural are the only deeper pools.

That is true. Most of the newer pools are very shallow, and I think the new pools tend to have narrower lanes as well, compared to Laurel and Mulberry.

T & D only constructs pools for homes now that are no deeper than five and a half feet. I think that is wise.

I THINK that the pools here are mainly for wading. Some swimming and certainly no diving. They are great for the purpose...Beautifully set, and very clean and sparkling. We have family pools and adult pools that only thirty and over are allowed. And we have sports pools with swimming lanes and aerobics classes.
Who can tell me HOW MANY we have??? Someone said what number the Rohan pool would be.....but I forgot.
