Saw a sign up next to Square One Burgers for Darrell's Diner. Have eaten at Darrell's up by Stone Crest and really liked it. They will do well at this location. A good Breakfast place has been truly needed in the 466A area. See link below.

Have eaten at the Darrell's by Stone Crest several times and never saw a dog anywhere. The owner has dogs and is a fan of dogs.

Although there is a picture of a dog on the menu, I didn't see any dog food on the menu.

There are at least a half dozen better breakfast eateries nearby than Darrell's

Great news. I'm all for small, mom and pop restaurants.

I think their menu looks terrific and certainly reasonably priced. Their burgers cost half as much as Square 1! I will definitely put it on my "must try" list next time I'm in town. Thanks for the heads up.

Never had the pleasure of eating at Darrell's Diner but will certainly give it a try when it opens. I too enjoy the Mom & Pop restaurants especially for breakfast and lunch.

Good news! Hope it's more like a real diner and not another "America's Diner" like Denny's!

Please list them since breakfast is our favorite meal and we really know about breakfast places and are always looking for new places.

Have eaten at several Darrell's. It must be hard to keep good employees but so far they have been able to do that. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I think the Villages is the 7th restaurant in the last two or three years. Nice to see a small business grow.

Have you been to Darrel's to compare? What are some of the other good or better ones that you suggest?

Billy's Cafe on 441 is one of the best. The wait staff are real professionals . Fast efficient, and the food comes out Hot!

If dogs are allowed, they would be on the patio, not in the diner.
I assume from your barf icon that you don't like dogs?
Good news!
There are about 80 golf-cart-accessible restaurants that don't allow dogs!

Rae Rae's is on 441.
If you are going south on 441 and go past 466, there is a big totem pole type sign. Rae Rae's is in that area. If you have gone to 466A, you are too far south of Rae Rae's.
If you are on 446A and make a left onto 411 going north, Rae Rae's is in the first shopping area on your left, by the big totem pole sign.

Fruitland Park Cafe is better that most of those .... and Darrell's for that matter.
NOTE: I have never had breakfast at the Blue Plate Deli (colony shell) but the burgers are GREAT!!

All I keep thinking about is "Hi, I'm Larry, this is my brother Darrell and this is my other brother Darrell". I think they served dogs in their dinner too. LOL

There is a Darrell's by Stonecrest if you want to try it. It is in the top 3 (local) breakfast places for my wife and me. The other 2 are Rae Raes and Sidewalk Cafe.

Home Fried Potatoes! All others cook them on the grill in various ways, some crispy, some not so crispy and most with onions. Darrells serves perfectly square little potatoes (possibly frozen) and plunks them in a deep fryer.

Is the food they serve you same food for dogs? ick !!!

I guess this is why there is variety in places to eat......everyone has their own taste buds and preferences. One man's home fries is another mans square potatoes in a deep fryer......got to love the free market.

I like having choices, but I'm not real excited.
We are also supposed to get Peach Valley Cafe. They announced that a while back. Haven't heard anything about it lately. I assume they are still coming.
That will be a lot of breakfast & lunch places serving soups, sandwiches, etc.
I hope they are good and do well.
We like to eat dinner early about 3:30 - 4:00 and most of those places close after lunch.
