Western Canada

We are interested in seeing the western provinces of Canada. Have heard so much about them. Any suggested tours...or is it better to just rent a car and drive! Is the spring or fall a better time to go there? Any input would help.

We did a Canadian Rockies tour last July with YMT Vacations. It was about 12 days starting and ending in Seattle. We were very pleased and the cost for the tour was under $2,000 per person, plus airfare.
