Has any one had a patio installed using pavers . Do you you need a permit ? Any recommendations on contractor good or bad

We interviewed several contractors; looked at their work and checked them out with "Seniors Against Crime". Decided on Chad's Lawn and Landscaping and we are thrilled with the result. Chad is good on his word and gave us an excellent patio. He is not cookie cutter - had some great ideas.
