Center for Retina & Macular Disease (http://www.crmd.net/)

I have macular degeneration. I have seen several different specialists and had various information regarding my macular. Last week I attended a seminar at The Waterfront Inn given by this group and was impressed. I had a "second opinion" appointment yesterday with Dr. Hamilton who specializes in Macular Disease. I was very pleased, not only with Dr. Hamilton himself, but his staff is excellent, his tech is really quite amazing, a very knowledgeable young man, and I have never, ever, had an eye exam like this.

Yes, I still have macular, but I have a lot more information now than I did before I had my appointment and I know how to help myself.

I would highly recommend this group to anyone who has serious eye problems and would like a second opinion.

What about glaucoma? Does this doctor have a specialist in his office that is recommended for this disease?

Did you open the link I posted on my initial post? It gives all their doctors and their specialties. If you cannot find what you are looking for, I suggest you call them and see if they know of anyone for you. Good luck with your search.

I just did a search for you and came up with this World Class Cataract Surgery and Eye Care Right at The Villages (http://www.stlukeseye.com/villages/). They are St. Lukes in Sumter Landing. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYONE IN THIS PRACTICE so my recommendation is second hand. I do, however, have a friend here who worked in a major eye hospital in Boston for many years and she has seen the work these people do and she is impressed.

I would recommend you get into this link and read the bios on their physicians which are excellent. You cannot do much better than have a physician trained at Duke University Medical Center or Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute of Johns Hopkins. Once again, I hope you find someone you can trust with your eye condition.
