Our children have 9 nationalities that we know of..... Eng., irish scottish, italian, german, french, polish, czech., french canadian. True americans and proof of people of different cultures and ancestry getting along. If we could only teach the world to sing in perfect harmony! What a wonderful world this COULD be!

 Beautiful picture. :)
Growing up I had chickens raising ducks, and dogs raising kittens, and cows raising colts. ;D

AAWWWW Thanks, Nonie! I am glad to be home and back to reading TOTV. I have a bit of catching up to do. The kitty looks better than I after the HOT, crazy busy whirlwind vacation I just had. I had to keep reminding my 29 yr. old daughter that I am not 29 anymore, even though the brain thinks I am sometimes! Getting to sleep at 3 AM can be exhausting....... Happy to be home RELAXING! LOL

JohnnyM... "A picture is worth a thousand words"
Sometimes I wonder what would happen if for just six months the world gave in and agreed to agree and work together on a few prime circumstances. Like ending hunger, like education for everyone, like fair pay for fair work, like SHARING willingly!
OK...here is reality kicking in. Even if 95% of us agreed to do this, the 5% would find a way to take extreme advantage (profiteering, deception, embezzlemenet) of the majority's niceness and screw up the whole effort. Another 20 or 30% would agree and then change their mind.

gfmucci, interesting statistics. Where did you get them from?
Years ago, perhaps 55 years or so, people did get together and were able to get things changed. What the percentages were I do not know.
I can still recall baby carriage brigades. This was done where there was a high probability of accidents or there were numerous bad accidents at intersections. Mothers would close off the street by creating a baby carriage brigade.
Traffic lights were installed - I was a lot younger than and do not recall if anyone was ever killed at this intersection.
If I recall more events I will post them.

Total speculation and made up based on real world experience.

My daughter's rabbit, cats and dog would all play together in the living room and no one hurt each other. The rabbit stayed on the area rug. He wouldn't walk on the floor. It was so adorable.
Too bad we humans can't be as generous. Even as a child, I could never understand why people wanted to fight wars (and still can't). My aunt read me a story one time that really impressed me. It was about Eskimo tribes that settled their differences by having singing competitions. I don't know if it was based on fact, but it seemed like a good idea to me.
Just some of my rambling. Jan
Love the picture, Johnny.................... so sweet......... and calming. We once had a lamb that thought one of my dad's tractors was her mom. Every time dad took the tractor out, the lamb was just lost. It was pitiful, actually. why'd I bring that one up???

PM10,
I can just see that. It is a cute story. I wish I could be back on the farm with all the Spring babies and somebody else doing all the work!!

Good story Marcia, I am sure running a farm is a lot of hard work but having all the animals around must be so calming. I could make a pet out of any of them. Cows, sheep, lambs maybe not chickens but I would try...

I was raised on a farm and every animal was a pet. Someday I will write a book. Great memories! :)
