Admin, you said you asked for people to vote......well I spend most of my time on Classifieds and I never saw that listed anywhere on here. Of course it is possible I missed it, but I am on here daily, so Please tell me when and where you listed the posting for voting. I would hope that it was posted numerous times, and with a final warning to please vote.
I was finally getting used to Panjo and then it is taken away and we are back to the old format....PLUS MORE CHANGES! I really hate this format, PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK!!! Sure, Panjo was difficult for me to get used to in the beginning, and of course I wish they had made a few good changes on there along the way (like larger pictures and other small changes), but I certainly didn't want to go backwards to this archaic way of buying and selling stuff.
I don't mind having choices, but please tell me why one of the choices isn't a button to click to see ALL postings for Classifieds. There is soooo much wrong with the way this has changed.
Please give us another chance to vote.

We sent out emails and posted information on the poll in the The Villages general discussion area. Over 80% of the respondents wanted to go back to the old classified methods. We still want your input on the current method of listings. We are trying to please.

I would also prefer to see everything for sale. I never saw a poll or received any emails. I much prefer the previous Panjo classifieds.

Never saw the poll and I'm on your website all the time. I think you should rethink this one. Most of the users don't like the new system.

Makes a person wonder who looks after the web world in these Villages.... It seem every site goes from bad to worse.
Can't sort and narrow searches, can't cancel ads, can't see all new ads, no real estate map, holy moly.
Check out sites outside the bubble before making these silly sites, people.

This new format is horrible. We are on TOTV several times a day, I never received notification to vote. PLEASE switch it back. This is absolutely awful!

Oh wow..I guess I am done advertising on here. I loved Panjo! Easy to read, pictures were big enough to see. This was a bad idea to change back.

I was one who voted and think this format is great. Gets me to where I want to go without shuffling through screen upon screen of old couches and chairs. Those complaining are just people with too much time on their hands

Not that I bought much, but I passed on several things because Panjo wanted payment and I wanted to see the item first. That being said, I don't care for the new format, only because I like to scroll through the new listings everyday...no particular category. I've led neighbors and friends to items I didn't want/or need, but knew they were looking for. Now you have to choose each category, and that just wastes too much time for me. My opinion...

Have posted on both. It's funny those who don't like the return of old way have very few posts. I hated panjo. Could not keep posting current. I agree with blessed . The demand for money and buy it now, without the sellers knowledge was causing problems. Thanks Mod for the change

I disliked the Panjo payment. That was crazy. I too was a HUGE fan of scrolling all the pics. At least 2+ times a day, I'd get on TOTV Classified and scrolled to see the new stuff. Those of us that use this consistently, know that if there is a great deal, it won't last a day. I do not prefer this set up by category at all. I have to go back and click on every category to see all. For those looking for a specific item, it's probably fine, but not for someone that 'shops' here.

Would someone show me how to post something for sale, I've tried now for about an hour and still don't know.

I agree with Blessed and Bettyfriend, but I would also prefer to see everything for sale. I never saw a poll or received any emails. I much prefer the previous Panjo style classifieds, except the payment, and Paypal part of it was confusing.

I also like scrolling through the stuff for sale WITH pictures. Going back to the old setup was a bad move. Why can't they eliminate the Panjo payment or paypal and go back to the original Panjo?:rant-rave:

I didn't see anything either... No email or poll.. I liked Panjo as well...
Editing to add.. there was a problem with the "buy it now" option in Panjo.

How about a new classified tab to list all of the new items for sale items similar to the new posts tab?

First let me say that I also loved Panjo, but this new/old way isn't as bad as I originally thought. Just click on a category and hover your mouse over each photo and you can see a larger version of the photo. It's not Panjo but it isn't all that bad except for the slow loading pages.
I remember thread after thread of people asking the Admin to get rid of Panjo. I also remember seeing a poll as he mentioned. We got what the majority asked for. I'm sure the Admin put in a ton of work to bring this back to what you all asked for.
UPDATE:
After using the classifieds this morning for about 15 minutes I became frustrated with the categories. The reason being is the amount of time it takes to move from category to category because of slow loading pages (possibly the ads). I do not have trouble loading any other websites but this one so I'm pretty sure it is the site. Perhaps if everything was in one category at least we could scan the photos by holding our cursor over the picture and see it all before we commit to clicking. I find it very frustrating and slow this way.

Comments sounds like a big difference of opinion---Good thing someone can make a decision---unlike Washington! Not meant to be political comment.

Are you serious.............you posted information on the VOTING poll about Classifieds but put it in THE GENERAL DISCUSSION AREA?? Since it involved Classifieds, why didn't you post it in Classifieds? That is where all of us that were using Panjo spent the majority of our time. I seldom even scan New Messages, so I wouldn't have seen your emails to vote THERE. Seems you put it in the wrong place and most Panjo users didn't see it to vote! You say 80% of people wanted to leave Panjo. 80% of HOW MANY??? It would be interesting to know just how many people actually saw your poll and voted? Will you please disclose this information.
It seems that the main gripe of most people using Panjo was on the Pay Pal issue. Once I learned to click on 'collect payment myself', everything else was simple. I don't know why Panjo refused to just dump that PayPal stuff and get rid of the confusion and just let people collect payment themselves.
Anyway.....now I am now ONE UNHAPPY CAMPER AND FEEL LIKE WE HAVE GONE BACKWARDS FROM PANJO. If we have to settle for this format, PLEASE make some sensible changes. Also, what happened to the MARKETPLACE button, so we could see our own listings with one click, and make necessary changes. How in the heck do I see my listings now????
Wrong, just wrong!!!

So with all the negative comments about the old format being used and the positive comments of Panjo, is anything going to happen? Admin????

Maybe those sellers who are so unhappy and in distress over the change in format will consider doing something constructive about it and take their sales to a site like ebay or craig's list rather than bemoan and demean the efforts of our Admin to respond to the poll that was conducted?

I am in favour of Panjo....was surprised to see the "New"... not very friendly format for the Classified !!
My vote, if I had one, would be to return the Classified back using Panjo.

I never got an email.
Having things listed by category is nice, but the pictures are small.
Who decides what category a listing for sale is put?
I liked panjo and thought it was efficient.

I sold and bought many items via Panjo. As a web designer in my prior career, Panjo was much more user friendly and easy to use. Please consider bringing it back.

Why should we have to go to Craigslist or E-bay when buying and selling stuff is offered of TOTV? No disrespect intended but I am just curious why you begrudge us using Classifieds on TOTV? You don't have to see the ads.....just click on 'Hide Classifieds'.

Thank you for the service you provide through the Talkofthevillages.com website. It has been real simple to use with Panjo. Panjo was user friendly. The current option is "ok" but not great. Please reconsider or I will admit it will cause me to lose interest since this is too time consuming to search under current formatting. Thank you for letting me give you input in the matter. Have a great day!

A NEW POLL NEEDS TO BE TAKEN IN THE CLASSIFIED SECTION OF THIS WEBSITE. This is the most un-user friendly way to view listings that it is almost laughable! It didn't get much easier than Panjo. I have sold and purchased numerous items off of Panjo with ZERO problems. I will no longer be using these classifieds because instead of simply scrolling down the page looking at big pictures of a variety of items, you now have to CHOOSE A CATEGORY and click on the link before you can even view it! Whoever chose this format was obviously looking at websites from ten years ago for examples. CHANGE IT BACK OR TAKE A NEW POLL UNDER THE CLASSIFIED SECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!! :swear:

DON'T like the new format. Very difficult to find things; you have to click from place to place and back again. I, too, like to browse everything for sale not just a specific category. Found Panjo easy to use, even though it was different from the first site I used. NEVER got an e-mail about a vote as several others have mentioned.

I would like to see all items for sale without categorization. I'm not going to sit here and search every category. That was one thing I liked about Panjo.
