Best days to ...

Any suggestions or experience re: the best days to travel north on Rte #95? Do the weekends or weekdays have the more more 'relaxed' traffic?

We take the better part of three days/two nights to travel to the Mid-Hudson Valley (NY) from TV. We left in mid-April on a Saturday and have to say that traveling on the weekend was wonderful compared to the kind of traffic we would otherwise run into in midweek. Hope this helps.
