Turn Signals?

Not to be critical but observant ...do people in Florida have an aversion to using their turn signals?

That's the one! I've noticed that everywhere we go in this state that people VERY seldom use their turn signals. In TV the villa we rent a couple months each year comes with a golf cart that DOES have turn signals that I ALWAYS use. BUT, they do not cancel out and I have to be constantly aware of that.

Yes! And it is everywhere in Florida not just TV.

Using directionals in this state is the "signal" for the motorist in the lane you intend to move into to speed up and block you out.

Since no one is a native Villager, no one must use turns signals in their home town.

News Flash... if you are driving in FL never ever trust a turn signal! It is better that some people don't use them. Just wait and see if they are really going to turn or not!

Actually, after seeing the young woman, with a cell phone to one ear, and a cigarette in the other, I guess she would need to use her left knee for the turn signals.........

When we moved to Miami in 1990, I realized that the use of turn signals was optional in Florida!!

When someone is telling me they are making a turn via their turn signal, I wait to see if their wheels are turning in the same direction, as their signal.

This was mentioned to me by a race car driver and has helped me several times, especially on freeways, parkways or the interstate. Never mind what the signal is telling you, if the wheels are turning into you, you need to avoid that situation.

When hitting on us native or longtime Floridians you got to remember that the large majority of our residents in TV according to the Daily Sun are from NY, Penn. Ind. Ohio, Ill., and N.J. I can't believe they quit using turn signals after moving here so that's the way they always drove back home.
One of these days I'm going to go up north, drive slow in the passing lane and tell everybody how much better everything is back home.
