We are getting a good number now, very keen new people and a nice core of newer and more established lawn bowlers. More than 20 at the am game and often more than 25 in the afternoon. Numbers increasing slowly but surely and we had a table at the Senior games expo and have a table at the outdoor expo on Saturday and Sunday

The lawn bowling people are without a doubt the most friendly group

We meet at 9 and 4 on this Wednesday, times for the afternoon will be changing in two weeks, because of the increased light that will help us. What a great weekend at the Expo, much interest in our sport and we hope to see lots of prospective lawn bowlers come and learn to bowl. Rio Grande Neighborhood Center.

Our Senior Games Lawn Bowling Exhibition Event takes place on Wednesday 15 April commencing around 9 am. Although there is no regular bowling, come and watch the games during the day. You can get some information handouts for our usual bowls on Wednesdays, where we will teach you to bowl, get you into the game and make sure you have fun!

I had the honor of visiting the field a couple of weeks ago when I was down the the folks there were more than happy to show me how the game works and how to "bowl" on the lawn. Great people...

We have changed our morning session to start at 8.15 am and our evening session starts at 6 pm. To avoid the heat of the day, more sensible times.
Also, Open Play is now available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm onwards.
A group of us will bowl at 6 pm on Tuesday and Thursday weather permitting.
Any one welcome to come and join us at any of those times and we will continue to teach anyone who is new and interested, it is great fun and good exercise. A great bunch of people!!!
