My POD was picked up this AM and is on its way to TV. We will be meeting it at the house next Monday, 6/30. Then the fun starts....unpacking, unpacking, unpacking!
Our closing for the house in NY is scheduled for next Thursday.
We'll be in the condo up here for awhile, then we're snowbirds officially in a couple of more months!
I feel like a 20 year old who can't wait to be 21.

Wait 'til I put on my VILLAGER shirt since I am up here in Ohio. I welcome you as a resident, at least some of the time, of Hadley.
Good for you.
I am obsessed with TV even though we are here in the North. Every minute we aren't working my hubby and I are looking for furniture for our house in Hadley. I am sewing or painting pictures for our house in Hadley.
Soon Soon Soon, all of us fun folks will be altogether.
YES!

Hi steve
I have a pod that is being delivered to the villages in about a week, do you have any suggestions for me? would love to know how it's going especially with the unloading.

My pod's coming Monday the 30th.
The only suggestion I have is to tell the POD folks to face the door toward the garage or everything will need to be carried an extra 16 feet.
Good luck!
By the way, the closing on the house up north is STILL scheduled for Thursday, 6/26. I am keeping my fingers crossed that there are no last minute glitches that delay it.

Steve, whats a pod? One of those things from the movie Cocoon? LOL. I was thinking bout a U-Haul truck, but maybe pods a better way to go.The U-Haul gets 10 MPG and has a40 gallon tank.1500 miles from indiana plus whatever it costs to rent the truck,,mega bucks. Kregski

Kregski-
Take a look at www.pods.com (http://www.pods.com)
It's really like a small version of one of those containers they run on ships, trains or tractor trailers. Convenient for us and it worked great. Pod was dropped on the driveway of my NY house, we took our time filling it, then they shipped it to TV, where it was on my driveway for a couple of days at the beginning of the week. We had some movers come by and empty for us, and it all went like clockwork.
Given gas and time required to load and drive a u-haul, this seemed much easier to me.
