Suggestions Where To Shop, Mother of the Groom Dress

. Hello ladies, I haven't lived here long enough to search outside of the villages for stores where i might find a formal dress for my son's wedding in may. Any suggestions in orlando, ocala or even tampa? Thanks for your suggestions.

Try Dillard's in Ocala. My neighbor just got a mother of the bride dress there. Nice selection.

I wasn't pleased with the selection at Macy's store so I went on line to Macy's and found so many more. I called and asked if it would be ok to order several and return what I didn't want. They said no problem. I ordered 7 in the petite length that I liked. I had several girlfriends over and modeled them all and they helped me choose one dress. No alterations necessary. I didn't find much I liked at the bridal stores.

Nordstroms on line is a good place to shop. They offer many choices, with free shipping, both ways, if you return items.

My choice too - love Nordstroms and their return policy is exceptional.

While we are on the subject of free returns. I purchased a pair of shoes for my son one Christmas from Zappos. Zappos emailed me 7 - yes 7 months later to tell me he had returned them and I was getting a credit!

Some of these online companies are so good to deal with it's almost not worth going to a store.

I went to Dillard's in Ocala and the salesperson told me that the Dillard's in The Florida Mall in Orlando carries a much larger collection. She was right. I found 10 gowns to try on and purchased the very first one for my son's wedding up North. Almost as good a selection as New York boutique stores. Give them a try.

Green Weavers in Belleview. Well worth the short drive. My wife found the perfect dress for our daughter's Valentine'd Day wedding in Jamaica.

in Tampa. (Online good too).
