Where is the best place to see shutters on display?

Plantation shutters can be custom made to fit any window or opening.
Do any of your friends or neighbors have them? They would be likely places to see them since you don't have to listen to a sales pitch.

Be aware there are many different styles and can be made of different things.

Other than that, go to Lowes or Home Depot and take a look.
That's probably the easiest.

He is very accommodating but sometimes their schedule is really packed.

Four years ago we attempted to use Rick at 48 Hour blinds. We called him several times and waited a week and never got a call back. We went with Blinds4Less in Lady Lake. They have a small showroom at 109 W Lakeview St, Lady Lake, FL 32159, it just south of CR 466 on Hwy 27/441 behind the 'Mom & Dads' Italian Restaurant. There is usually someone in the office everyday, but they will come to your house with samples and to give estimates.

We had Norman Brand Shutters installed in our home in Maryland by Budget Blinds, and Blinds4Less also carries that line, so we went with those again. They come from China and take 8 weeks for delivery, which was the same case when we purchased them in Maryland. They are a faux shutter but they actually look better than real wood shutters. Blinds4Less carries several lines, I believe they offer an Orlando made shutter available in 3 weeks. Shutters are not cheap, we had 4 windows done, their price includes installation and it was $1800. In Maryland we paid $2700 for 7 windows, so they are about equal here.

My neighbor used Blinds4Less and was dissatisfied with the product and even more unhappy with the treatment by Steve, one of the owners. It took them several weeks to return to her house and repair the install problems. Two shutters had to be reordered because one frame was cut too short and the other had an incorrect sill.

Last fall, Nov/Dec, we were looking for recommendations on TOTV for Plantation Shutters for our new home and ended up going with Blinds Plus Shutters (TOTV Advertiser) after speaking with several other contractors. More of a gut feeling than anything else. They were all within a couple hundred dollars on the quote, but we had a tight time frame to visit, see the blinds, have the house measured, and make the deal. Install was about 4-5 weeks later and was supervised by our in-laws who are watching the house til we permanently move down. They look great, and the install went without issue. House was perfect when the crew left (as verified by my Mother-in-Law! lol). They have been around for quite a while, and some may remember/know the previous owners Carl & Neil. The new owners, Nestor and his wife, used to be the company's Head Installers, so they know the business from the inside out, and do a great job. Showroom/Office is in the same small building on W. Lakeview, off 27/441, just next to/behind Mom & Dad's Restaurant. Don't recall them having any samples of Vertical Blind shutter applications in the showroom, but they may have pictures from previous jobs. At least you'll be able to see the actual product lines they carry and get a "feel" for them. That helped us a lot in choosing. Good luck!! I've used 48 hour blind for 2 homes. Yes they get busy, and there is a reason for that-they're good.

One thing I've learned living in The Villages, plan ahead and do it before the seasonal crowd gets here.
