hi new friends,

i am moving to TV late august and wondering if there are any ARE groups active there?
for those unfamiliar, ARE stands for Association for Research and Enlightenment. they are study groups for spiritual development, based on the work of psychic Edgar Cayce. the organization is headquartered in virginia beach. they are non-denominational and study things like the importance of patience, brotherhood and other spiritual virtues. i would love to join an existing group or if anyone is interested we could start one! learning to meditate is also an important part of the lifestyle. i have been away from it for a long time but found it very worthwhile during the years i was involved. we discuss all kinds of interesting things like dreams, reincarnation, ufo's....but no one is forced to believe in anythiing they do not accept...open minds and open hearts....i myself am a devout catholic and still feel free to ponder the infinite possibilities of God's great imagination!
please respond here as i am not sure if there is some rule that we should not post our personal email address....otherwise i would happily post it....thanks

Well Chachacha, your note pretty much describes the basis for our TV Parapsychology club, of which I'm a member. We had a mtg last week, where there were 2 "Mediums" who did readings of those in attendance. They just went around and observed and "read" a lot of people. It was fascinating. Each of our meetings are interesting, and we also have Expos periodically. No one tries to convince anyone to believe anything. People just share info, we have speakers and presenters, and you can take it or leave it. It can be quite inspiring! I love it.

You'll enjoy it when you get here. Just check the rec paper every Thurs. where all the club info is listed. They're available at each rec ctr.

I take it from your ID that you're a dancer? (well duh)

Welcome to TV!!!
