To the A-hole who took my parking space yesterday in front of Tuesday Morning, Shame on YOU! You saw that I had my turn signal on, but you still cut in front of me to get the parking space, then basically RAN into the store as not to be confronted....C'mon people GROW UP! I thought this was Floridas Friendliest Hometown.....NOT

Really? How many more parking spots were there to be had? Was that the only one? Get over it and move on. You need to learn to pick your battles. Someone taking your parking spot is just another day in The Villages. Gotta let it go. Why not learn to park waaaaaay out away from the store? I'll bet nobody will fight you for that parking space.

The parking lot was PACKED......I had to park at least 30+ spots away. I'm just saying, if you see someone with their signal on, that means it's their spot, not yours for the taking. And to basically RUN away makes me realize that they KNEW what they did and didn't want to be accountable for it, just like many Villagers act.

Not to mention, at Walmart or Publix, I DO park waaaaaaay away from the store because a-holes don't like to return their shopping cars and I don't want my vehicle getting hit by them. This was just a quick run into a store which I clearly had the right to that spot. I do choose my battles, but Villagers seem to have upped the battlefield, I guess I need to up my gameplan as well! This sense of entitlement baffles me.

Tuesday morning isn't in The Villages. It's in a shopping center in Lady Lake, so it wasn't necessarily a "Villager" that cut you off.

How did you know it was a Villager?

Where in my original post did you see that I suggested it was a Villager? No Where! I was just reminding people of all ages to be aware of the surroundings and be POLITE.....the other posters made me go the whole "Villagers" route.

Nice way to be catty...I don't care if he was from the Villages or not, I NEVER claimed that he was. I'm actually from Pittsburgh, and you and I know, if someone stole your parking space in Pbg, you could bet beat up. Just trying to make this place the home that you would want to live in, not home that you have to be ashamed of.

Something you expect us to do about it? Why not confront the A-hole?
Your last sentence does make the claim that it was a Villager.

No, I don't expect you to do anything about it, just pay attention and be aware before stealing a parking space. OMG, Didn't think this post would cause so much controversy. Too many accidents happening lately and wanted to remind people to be aware and safe. My Bad!

Number one on my list was not to call anyone an *******.

I'm sorry someone took your parking spot. I'm sorry it upset you so much. I'm sorry that The Villagers don't reach Pittsburgh standards.
I will get slammed for this, but really, losing a parking spot isn't very important in the grand scheme of things.

You people OBVIOUSLY don't understand where I'm coming from. I'm just saying, be polite, don't let your shopping carts stand where the wind can blow them into other cars, use turn signals to let someone behind, or coming towards you know when you want to turn. It's Obvious that all the posters on here are perfect, so why am I even letting myself vent to ones who I thought would support my initial comment. If we all were a little more sympathetic to others this world would be a better place

I'm sorry this humiliating event happened to you and diminished you in the eyes of the person who rushed in to take your parking spot. I'm also sorry that after you came here to discuss this you were judged, corrected, and put down instead of being told, hey. We're here for you. Bad things happen to good people and we hope your day got better.

I would have thought a woman took the spot. If it was a man he must have been commanded by his wife to pick something up there. Can't imagine a man going to Tuesday A.M. on his own...or maybe it was the Dollar Store.

A parking spot is not worth getting shot or stabbed by some psycho in a car.
Consider them a moron and move on.

It doesn't sound like Larina wanted to do anything more than vent and maybe get some sympathy. I know I get royally ticked off if someone steals my spot. I always wish I could be like Evelyn in Fried Green Tomatoes and just ram the crap out of the parking spot thief (we all have our little mean fantasies, right?). So, here is another person offering Larina some sincere sympathy. The thief was rude and inconsiderate. Don't let him spoil more than a few minutes of such a beautiful day.

Redwitch great post! And yes I have the same fantasy.
When someone does something so inconsiderate I just shake my head and feel sorry for them.....what could have happened in their life for them to be mean, nasty, etc.....

I know how frustrating something like this can be. I accidently went the wrong way down the Walmart parking lot row and was called a Ho (the whole word) by a woman. How going the wrong way and that word correspond, I'm not sure but whatever. I would have expected "jerk" or something like that.

This upsetting episode will get worse if one dwells on it. You can't fix stupid or inconsiderate people. IMHO

Yup, agreed Gracie!
Really, it's not snowing and it's not raining so why not choose a parking spot over there...and walk a bit. It's sunny Florida, not -18 degrees out:)

Larina, relax a bit. BTW a blinking turn signal indicates you either intend to turn, or you forgot your signal was on. It is not an indication that a parking spot is yours. Did you get into Tuesday Morning? Sorry I responded, this thread is running on needlessly.

Listen, everyone, when you figure out how to rid the world of a-holes, you've got my vote for World Leader. Maybe we all need to cut back a little on the caffeine and take a couple of deep breaths.
