I have a ParCar with either a bad wheel bearing or tie rod. It needs to be repaired asap and I need someone who knows this brand who can come to my home to do the repairs. Any suggestions?

If it's less than 5 years old, call Columbia Par Car and they will repair it under warranty.

It's older than that.

We have a 2008 Par Car that we bought used about 3 years ago ... and have found about the only thing you can have replaced/repaired by someone other than Par Car, are batteries! If Par Car repairs it, plan on being without your cart for about 2 weeks and paying a lot of $$ for the repair. (They have to pick up the cart and take to their facility.)

So far, repairs on ours have run between $500-$1,500 each time. That's why next time we won't be getting a ParCar!

Good Luck!

(Also, warranties are not transferrable ... only good to original owner)

I don't know why my last post regarding this subject was not posted, so trying again.

When I had a Par Car they could get various parts for me at a much better price than directly through Par Car. My cart was a 2006 year model.

Todd works on my Club Car and he's great.

The one knock that I always seem to hear about Par Car is that most of the repair people won't touch them, the parts are very difficult to get and the dealership takes forever to do repairs and they are very expensive. People who have Par Cars seem to love them until something breaks.

I wasn't aware that Todd would work on them but give him a call. He's a great mechanic and as fair and honest as they come.

Todd replaced a wheel bearing on my ParCar for less than $100 (can't find the receipt) in my driveway in about an hour.
