Griffins Home Accents in Ocala

Any TOTVers familiar with this store? Does it have anything that you would not find say at Michaels, Hobbie Lobby or Jo-Ann Fabric and Crafts?

I would like to know too. Where is the nearest Michaels or any art supplies store? I found canvases at the Walmart in Leesburg, but not artists acrylics, just craft acrylics in bottles. Also as we went through WildWood on the way home I saw a store that advertised ....I think Fabric ends, or something not quite fabrics. Where is there a Hancocks Fabric?

Right now, the closest Michael's store is in Ocala. I'm told they'll be opening a store near The Villages in the shopping center where Bed Bath and Beyond, etc, are located. Last I heard, they were expecting to open in November.

You can also get art supplies at Hobby Lobby, on Rte. 200 in Ocala. Red Swan is a bit further away in Ocala, but has a really good selection of just about any art supplies.

I used to get art supplies at Griffin's, but they no longer carry them. As I recall, they carry a lot of "collectibles" and such. Also have nice flower arrangements - when I was there last, they'd do custom arrangements for you.

A.C. Moore, which I am not familiar with, will be coming to TV but it doesn't seem to be like Michael's...............

We have two Michael's here and an A.C. Moore.........by far, A.C. Moore wins. Sale items always available...........much larger and so well organized.

Agreed :agree:, Michael's always seem to be much more expensive without the variety that A,C,Moore has. Always great sales at A.C. Moores!

Does Michaels have pictures, picture frames, Christmas items, etc. that Michaels has? I didn't see them on their web site.

Sorry I should have mentioned,

Michaels does professional picture framing and has a nice variety of prints wheras A.C. moore carries a large variety of picture frames(not for large Paintings) mostly for photos, and smaller pictures. Someone please correct me if Im wrong.

The A.C. Moore here has custom framing. I just looked at the flyer and it has a 60% off coupon for custom framing.
