I think everyone is to some degree. I know I have a pretty big prejudice against bigots. It is one of my serious hot buttons.

I know, it's a tough one and I honestly don't like that I am prejudiced against them. I stereotype them as ignorant -- if you bother to learn the history of someone who is different, you might just get rid of your bigotry since most prejudices are based on fear. However, to me a bigot is vocal about their bigotry regardless of whom is hurt by their comments. While I may be prejudiced against them and while I will speak up if they use derogatory terms around me, I will not try to humiliate them nor will I call them derogatory names, etc. So, there is a difference in being prejudiced (which I do believe is something we all have to some degree) and being a bigot.

No, not when it concerns the color of one's skin. But I am amazed at the number of people that are. It seems to cross all socio/economic barriers. I find it rampant among many of the locals in the 30+ group. I am always astounded by it because it is so alien to me.
I am prejudiced against working aged people of any color that are lazy and think the world/government owes them a living.

I think we are all prejudiced given the context of the thread heading. It doesn't say racial, or sexual, or tall vs. short people, or hamburgers vs. hot dogs.

We all have our likes, our opinions, and our diversity, and that forms our personal lprejudices.
IMHO

Given the context, I digress. No, I am not prejudiced, not when it comes to color, ethnicity, sexual orientation, appearance, or social standing. I never judge a person until I know a person. I may dislike someone based on their persona or disagree with their opinions, but IS that prejudice? Maybe. I hate murderers, such as Hitler, Bin Laden. Total "prejudice"?? I think that is true hate. I don't like people without respect for all others, including humanity, animals or our Earth. I guess I may be "prejudice" toward them? I am a people person. I was taught that we have been given this gift called life. To respect all things in this life, everything around us is a gift. Education, teaching, caring are key. Children learn hate and we must find an end to it. We are ALL different and unique and should be treated as such, IMHO. I never judge a book by its cover, its what's written within that makes the book worthy of my time, or not. So, I digress. OK done, this could go on forever. SAM!!!

I pray that I am neither prejudiced nor a bigot. If I am, give me the strength to overcome my weaknesses, and change my behaviors and opinions of others based on my own ignorance.

I have to admit that sometimes I PRE judge on the basis of past experiences or information. I try to be a good person. I have no negative feelings about anyone's sexual orientation or religion, certainly not their race. Sometimes I get a little hot a little too quick about their value systems.
