Some friends of mine are going to be performing at the Llangollen International Music Festival in Wales. It is a week long festival that starts this Sunday. There is a live streaming video site for the festival, and I am including the link:

http://www.llangollen.tv/

If you go to the site now, they have a video that is pretty interesting to see. My friends are performing on Saturday the 12th at 4 pm. Since they are 5 hours behind us, the performance will be at 9 pm our time. The name of the group is the Langsford Men's Choral under the direction of Steven SeGraves. He is the director for the Farmington Community Chorus also, and I am a featured soloist with that group. Many of the men in the Langsford Men's group also sing with Farmington Chorus, so that is how I know them. If you get the chance to see their performance you won't be disappointed. They are fantastic!

We used to go to the Boston International Music fest. It was a favorite!! What a great video. Reminded me of my favorite girlhood movie. The Sound of Music!!!

My friend's took second place in the Men's Choir competition. Here is the link to their performance.

They show all three songs that they performed. Check out the site and watch some of the other groups there as well. The choir of the world competition is great too. The clips will be available to watch for a month before they take them off the site. Enjoy!

The link worked fine and your friends were indeed terrific! Congratulations to them!!! We were in LLangollen (just don't ask me to pronounce the name in Welsh...) a couple of years ago, though not during the music festival, and it is a most charming and lovely setting. My cousin is an actor in London, and when the family was younger, they used to do the Edinburgh Festival: he acting, his wife costume making, one son acting, and the other son doing art and stage/set design. The UK is full of marvelous festivals, whether music or acting or art or whatever!

I have sung for many years, and with a variety of different choirs. I am a featured soloist with the Farmington Chorus. This link will take you to their website. About halfway down the list of songs you can hear from the chorus is the "Wildwood Carol" from one of our Christmas concerts. I performed the solo in that song.

Here is a pic of me singing "June is Busting out All Over" in our production of Carousel last fall.

This is a pic of me at our last Christmas concert singing my solo "All I Want for Christmas" from the show Nuncrackers

I am currently performing with the Dearborn Summer Music Choral. Our concert is this Wednesday at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts.
