We went to the Red Lobster on Sun.--we normally avoid chain restaurants. Had a very pleasant surprise, We got a 3 lb & a 2lb lobster stuffed with crabmeat, cocktails for $100.00 less than we spent @ The Waterfront for basically the something 2 weeks ago. We ate @ the bar and the bar person was very polite & handled everything just right.

I also have eaten there several times and agree with you that the food is every bit as good as any other places in the Villages. AND reasonably priced.

Total 5 lbs of lobster? That's a lotta lobster for $100. Me, I'll just wait until I get to Maine in August.

My feeling is that we know this company is in financial problems, and I personally dislike any business being closed. My friends and I eat at Red Lobster for our luncheons and enjoy it every time. The food is good and servers are the very polite and informative. A little pricey? Yeah, but what isn't?
Let's keep this restaurant open by letting as many of our friends know that it could be a hidden gem.

If it was $100 less than the Waterfront I'm curious as to how much it was at the Waterfront?

Red Lobster was recently sold to new owners, so, at least at this point, I don't think they are having financial problems any longer.

The Waterfront was $277.00--Red Lobster--$176.00 (these prices included a 20% tip)

Not really 2-Johnny Walker Black on the rocks & 2 Grey Goose Martini's no vermouth-this is what we drink--its close $40.00 worth of booze-we don't drink beer or well booze

Never been a Red Lobster fan BUT went there 2 days ago on a whim. Good food well prepared, good service. Will definitely go back. Got there about 1PM. No more than a dozen to 20 patrons. They deserve better if my experience was normal.
