Used to really enjoy watching Jim Vance and Doreen Gentzler on the local news in DC. Personable, yet very professional, despite how Vance might sound on this clip. That's really the last time I watched local news with any regularity.

You know Muncle it just goes to show no matter how professional you try to be, something like this can make you lose it. It really wouldn't be funny if the young lady was hurt though. Hopefully she has recovered from her misstep, no pun intended.

I must admit that it got me laughing, too. Not because of the model but the fact that the newscaster tried, but in vain, to read the story as written. Thanks for sending it.

You know tkret that's why I put Men Only Please. I didn't want the ladies to think I was making fun of them but it really was the newscasters that made the clip humorous. I think the ladies know me well enough to know I was not getting a laugh at their expense. (I hope)

I got cha, JohnnyM. The Lord knows that we, men, do more than enough silly things that it would be a big disadvantage to try to throw stones. lovehorse Wasn't it Jim Croce who sang that "you don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't into the wind" ? Sounds like good advice.

p.s. thanks for displaying the POW/MIA flag and I like your little prayer in your "signature", as well.

Now, you just know that anything for men only has got to get us females checking it out. I agree, the newscaster was funny. I felt for the girl falling and even more so for the designer -- last you thing you want at a major show is a klutzy model. But it was funny.

Red :agree:

I checked this site out (who wouldn't when it's titled Men Only Please) ??? We women are curious, right?

But, I was too chicken....cluck, cluck.....to say anything.... ;D

FYI...I laughed and laughed and laughed!

OK, I sheepishly admit, I couldnt resist either. All I could think of when I saw her walk was anyone whos stupid enough to wear 6 inch heels and walk the way she walked deserves to land on their tush. Like I never wore those heels, yea right!

Johnny, you really thought we women wouldn't read this thread? It's like waving a red cape in front of a bull. ;D

If she hadn't been carrying a watering can, it wouldn't be as funny. Not sure why that makes a difference, but it does.

OK, I read this forum too....true confessions.

As an aside, boy, Uncle Muncle you are so right.... Vance and Gentzler were a class act for local newscasters. We rarely watch the Orlando news stations. Did you notice that George Michael was on the set? This must have been an old clip, because, last I knew, he had severed his relationship with the local NBC affiliate.

Ok...I read this thread as well. You know red cape waving stuff

I saw a similar clip on the Orlando station, have to admit it wasn't as funny when being reported with a straight face. I lost it when I saw this clip. 1rnfl 1rnfl

:cop: :cop: I will hijack the thread for a comment on the difference between the local news reporting and the Boston stations I was used to.... Wow, they need help here in Orlando, they shout at you and sensationalize everything...don't watch much because of that.
