I'm really confused on why some people are against adding more forums. This is a wonderful, growing website. I see this as a work in progress. Now, before anyone pounces on me, I'm not being sarcastic. Moi? :o I'm really trying to understand why some are against anything changing in general. Not to beat a "dead Horse Park" and maybe it's just me, but I really can't grasp it. Change and growth is part of life. It's a fact, plain and simple. So, please share with me your thoughts on why some of you comment that there are enough forums or why TOTV should stop growing. Thank you.

This is a case where more is better!! Bring on the forums. 8) We enjoy TOTV. It's a whole group of friends/acquaintances with different viewpoints and knowledge. Why is more info a bad thing? We should never stop learning.

Isn't this what this site is all about? Bring on the Forums; the more the merrier. Those who choose to not add any forums don't have to read them, yes? This is all by choice; nothing etched in stone that one must do. Pick your subjects of interest.
This site has been a tremendous success and why not build on it? It's like the "Never-ending story" herein. The forums are never-ending, as well; that's what it's all about.
Great job admins and peeps.....b

I don't know about the rest of you but I have a life and I read one forum, this one. I don't have time to just sit here and read the rest.
There is a forum for skin care products ? ? ? It has one post dated last November. Get rid of it and put all post in one forum. All posts in one place means that you won't miss anything.
And a whole lot less work for the admins. They won't have to move questionable posts to another forum that they think is more appropriate and where you can't find them.

I think more is not always better, it leads to complexity and as stated above, forums that will get little/no activity. However, when appropriate, a new one is fine.
I don't mind new ones, but old/unused ones should be culled out too. That seems to never get done.
I don't particularly like scrolling down to get past the "dead Horse Park" thread.

You'll notice the "dead horse park" thread it gone and has been for a few days. The advertiser paid for one month of time and it remained up for the month he paid for, then it was removed.
The skin care product forum was occupied by a paying sponosor. When their contract expired, we left it up in the hope that the sponosor would see it is empty and renew. They haven't and it will soon be gone.

TOTV is like a library. Some come in to do their own research. Some come in to ask questions and they get help. Some browse to see if anything interests them. Some look around for a little fun. And some even TALK in this library.
And it's all OK.
Meanwhile, the admins are working, working, working.
Trying to keep it all straight.
Like catalogers in a library.
Trying to make the collection accessible.
Trying to make sure those who come in can find things easily.
Trying to help those who come in.
The collection grows and grows.
And the admins keep plugging away. Behind the scenes.
Cataloging. Trying to keep it all straight.
Maybe asking themselves, "What would Dewey do?"
(btw I heard the other day that Melvil Dewey, that Decimal System guy, began by arranging his mother's cupboards at a very early age. But I digress.)
So anyway. This library is growing. And that's a good thing.
And you can just come in to look around to see if what you are looking for is in this library.
And you will not visit every single shelf or section.
And sometimes you might even talk a little.
And if you have no interest in some of the stuff you find here, so what?
IT'S A LIBRARY.

The way I see it is.... if more forums bring more members.... and more members stimulate more advertisers.... that means more $$$ for the corporation/or whatever. That's a good thing - that's the American way ;D
