Regarding the need for action for energy independence?
To stop the partisan bickering and do something constructive?
To not draw lines and pick one mode or another but to do all if that in fact is what it takes?

They will only CHANGE their get nothing done mode if they sense the constituency may....maybe just may....be upset enough to insist they do their job.

If you haven't written yet then you have played to the hand they know they will always be dealt......the constituency in the main ain't going to do much about anything.....hence expecting...demanding nothing and getting nothing....how appropriate.

And please don't tell me it doesn't do any good.....when there is an over whelming cry from the masses it does work. Just like the over whelming lack of response from the constituency, works....eh?

I naturally assume people have same access to the alarming statistics (if one does their home work) THAT WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF OIL!!!!!!

Just what are we waiting for?

I guess we are so enamoured with the here and now and us that we don't care what we leave for those coming behind us. What else could be the explanation.

Any way...you know the drill.

The best notice to send to your representative is:

Dear Member of Congress,

You have had ___ years in office. Things really haven't gotten better for me, but sure seem to have gotten better for you.

There are only a few weeks left in the current session of Congress. You still haven't done anything about ____(pick your favorite three topics and place here)_______________________.

I am watching your voting record, your comments and actions in the committees where you sit, and what legislation you are sponsoring between now and the November 2008 election.

THIS IS YOUR LAST CHANCE as I plan to vote for the other candidate (even if I have to write one in) if you don't deliver.

Have a nice day in DC, as it may be one of the last ones you have there on my dime.

Regards,
