looking for a reasonable electrician or someone who can look at my smoke detectors to determine why they keep going off in spite of fact I have changed the batteries, even installed a couple of new detectors.

If you call your local fire station and explain the situation, they will come out and check. We had a very similar problem and one of our smoke alarms was bad and was upsetting the whole house. Try calling 352-569-1011 and explain the problem and I am sure they will help you.

It is typically a problem with your smoke / CO2 detector. Their is only one of those and it is sorta a "master" detector and if it fails (and they have a life of 10 years +/-) it can and will cause other detectors to "chirp"

The best place I have found for a replacement is ACE Hardware. They carry a direct replacement that is "plug & play" .... which I have not been able to find at any other source ( HD, Lowes, Wallyworld .... ect)
