As I have said before, Obama, Kerry and the USA are at a distinct disadvantage and are in a position of weakness by having a deadline to work against.
Anybody that has no need or fear of failing to meet the deadline is in a stronger negotiating position.

Any goal with a deadline is just a dream....not to be accomplished.

Some poster "think" they know what is going on with these negotiations, but the fact is, none of us do. The US has taken the leadership role in these talks and that's what the US does. We are the undisputed world power.

I would think we are not in a position of weakness, if we can walk away without the agreement we are striving to achieve.

Everyone is so concerned that we will make a bad agreement to meet a deadline, but that seems to not be the case. The US is walking away from the bad deal.
