Interesting topic for women. Would u get one? Yes or no and why? My vote is No. I will grow old gracefully and naturally

Absolutely no. For the same reasons you stated. I know too many people who have and they wasted their money.

Always said NO.............but once the wrinkles really took over I had a change of heart and found a wonderful doctor. I did it for myself and would do it all over again.

Was it painful? I think I'm too chicken and not into pain, so unless something really started to turn really ugly, lol, I'll stay the way I am. Maybe some minor laser stuff.

It seems that face lifts usually have a certain look that I think is unattractive. But I would really like to get my neck done as I"m always trying to hide it. I have the neck of an 85 year old and I'm only 63. But I've heard that neck work is not a simple fix... so I guess I'm stuck with my old neck. Someday I'll grow into it...lol...

Of course I would. And a tummy tuck, and liposuction, and a breast lift, and laser surgery, and dental implants, etc.

This is all free, right?

The best money I've ever spent on myself. Most important is selecting your plastic surgeon and one that uses the latest technics. 'Facial rejuvenation by suspension' was the surgery I had. About 1 - 2 weeks before I would venture into public (due to bruising and swelling) but as for any pain, very little discomfort. Best of all I had the surgery done outside of the US at about 1/3 the price it would have cost here. My surgeon is world renown and volunteers for Operation Smile, traveling to 3rd world countries all over the world.

I would have to chose my surgeon very carefully. Some face lifts look like, well, face lifts. Especially smiles. I doubt if I will ever have a face lift, but who knows.

I remember a day when I was laying in wait for knee surgery, and I happened to be there the day the plastic surgery was done. I asked the nurses who was best.

I will have a face lift and an eyelift by Dr. David Poole in Altamonte Springs.

Not sure I would do a full facelift because I'm a coward about pain but I think I would do Botox.

Uncomfortable for a few days, bruising for a week or so. I also had a dermabrasion all around my mouth due to years of smoking, it looked like raw skin for a few days but actually DID NOT hurt at all. The key is finding the right surgeon and doing your research. I had a laser treatment done on a separate occasion and I found that painfully, like a very severe burn. Believe it or not the full surgery was easier.

Google botox before you think about injections, Botox is a diluted form of the botulinum toxin. Lots of bad side effects. Again check, check and double check the physician who is using injectables and only use a PHYSICIAN.

A friend of mine had "Lifestyle Lift" and WOW, what a difference to her neck, jowels and cheeks. She had double or triple neck....heredity. Now all is gone. Done under local and gentle sedation. No pain after...just took Tylenol.

Please share some details: where did you go, who was the surgeon, approximate cost, etc. Thanks. Doing my research for a fall "lift" (if I can find the right doctor).

Absolutely, I plan on having one in a few years. I've been trying to scrub these wrinkles away for years, but it's not working.

With the right plastic surgeon it can be one of the best investments one can make. With the wrong one a person may come out looking like they were trying to get into a witness protection program.

I had a breast lift about 12 years ago and now the danged things are right back where they were before so ... waste of money, in hindsight.

I don't think I'd go for a full face lift because some of the results are pretty horrifying, but I would like to get something non-surgical to help even out my blotchy skin tone. Haven't started investigating all the options or costs yet. Suggestions are welcomed. :)

Plastic surgery is great for wrinkles, droopy eye lids, etc., but you can't fix ugly!

No I wouldn't because even if it came out looking great I wouldn't have enough money left to do all the fun things that I'd want to do if I looked great

Love it. Your bathroom probably cost less, didn't hurt nearly as much and will definitely last longer! You go girl!:BigApplause:

I think of Michael Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor, and Joan Rivers. they all had the same face. Very tight and surprised looking. :22yikes:

I had a facelift and blepharoplasty (eyelid lift) about five years ago from a doctor in Virginia and get Botox about three times a year. This past year he added a little filler to my cheeks and around my mouth. He is a good match for me because I want any work done to look like it wasn't done; he errs on the conservative side so the effect is very subtle.

I do not work for this company but I highly recommend Paula's Choice skincare products (Shop Paula's Choice: Paula's Choice Skincare & Cosmetics (http://www.paulaschoice.com)). I use her products religiously and have seen great improvements in the texture and lumosity of my skin. I also recommend sunscreen every single day. Rain or shine.

I go to an aesthetician every other month for IPL treatments and peels for broken blood vessels and minor wrinkling

Yes, it takes time and costs money but I think it is worth it.

It's not for me, but if you have it done it's important that you like it and the result.

As a would be plastic surgeon in another life I enjoy watching"Botched" on E. Plastic surgeons Terry Dubrow and Paul Nassif star and amazingly correct some terrible past surgeries or difficult conditions. To me, it is the plastic surgery equivalent to "Holmes on Homes" where contractor Mike Holmes corrects botched construction work.

I'm a big chicken when it comes to surgery. Would love to do it, but I would like to pay off my car, new bathroom, etc.

By the way, you look great! Thanks for posting.

Just lose your weight BEFORE the procedure! I have a good friend that had a $10,000 full facelift and went through a lot of pain to recover. Then she lost 30 lbs and the wrinkles and turkey neck were back!
