We went to the Crystal Cathedral once when on vacation in LA. Amazing place. Was sorry to hear about all the family issues that caused the downfall of the ministry.

I also visited the Crystal Cathedral and I was very impressed with it's magnificence.
Rev. Robert Schuller was an amazing speaker who gave great uplifting sermons. I have purchased his bible for my home. He turned a lot of people around, speaking of GOD's love.
It's a shame that magnificent place that was built by his great ability to raise funds went into bankruptcy. I believe each one of the glass pane's contains the names of people, who made donations.
One joke he told:
Billy Graham, Oral Roberts and Robert Schuller passed away on the same day and went to the pearly gates. St. Peter said you are all men of GOD and deserve to be in heaven but we don't have any room at the moment. I have to send you down to he** for a couple of weeks. They said OK.
After a week, the devil calls St. Peter and said, Peter, you have to get these three guys out of here! Peter said, what are you talking about?
The devil said, Billy Graham is going around saving all of the souls, Oral Roberts is going around healing all of the sick, and Robert Schuller is raising money to air condition the place.
Thank you Robert for all your great sermons and work.
RIP - Robert.

Joe, I, too, have a copy of his Possibility Thinker's Bible. I also have some of the books he authored, one autographed by him at a book store in Tysons Corner, VA. When I visted the Crystal Cathedral the first time I bought several of his tape sets. They have served to get me through some tough times!
One of his stories is that of obtaining the land on which to build the church. It seems someone had promised him land but when the landowner was trying to sign over the deed the ball point pen was dry and would not write. The owner took this as a sign not to sign and Dr. Schuller went home in despair. A few weeks later someone offered to donate the land where the Crystal Cathedral now stands and the rest is history. It is located in Orange County very near where five freeways cross, a far better location than the previously offered land had.
I have attended services at the Crystal Cathedral as well as the Easter and Christmas pageants.
The Roman Catholic Diocese that purchased the Crystal Cathedral will surely make good use of it.

I think we will all miss this man, and the message he put forth. Thank you Rev. Schuller.
