Consider that if may be less expensive to have a new one installed. They're really not that much money. Jeff of Master's Touch is honest and can certainly give you an honest opinion on "repair or replace". Here's his info:

These are generally not repairable, are you sure the control is bad? I had major problems (under warranty) that were eventually traced to faulty wiring between the wall controllers and the door operator.

Masters will replace your controller if that is the issue for $35. This includes the batteries and coding it. If there is another issue, I've found him to be extremely Knowledgeable and fair in his pricing.
