If you're a Joe Cocker fan, you may want to check out his new release: "Sing a Hymn for my Soul" (Stand by me as I grow old). Definitely worth a listen. :clap2:

I had not thought of Joe Cocker in years. He was on The View yesterday morning. I loved the new song and will be buying the CD.

the first rock concert I attended was a Joe Cocker concert at Music Hall in Cleveland. Joe was fabulous. He had Rita Coolidge with him. He also threw up on stage. Very memorable. Maybe he would come to the Savannah Center?

Cocker has to many hit songs to make it to the Savannah Center. It appears they limit groups to 5 hits or less and they have to be hits between 1950-1960

Saw him at Universal Studios, Orlando concert about 2 years ago. Packed the house and he's still a great entertainer.

OMG, 1rnfl 1rnfl 1rnfl 1rnfl Ohio, you're kidding? Or is that something boomers say and I'm missing something. If he comes to Savannah, I'll take a seat in the back row. HAHAHAHAHA!

Ronda, that is so cool, thanks! I went on his website and listened to "Hymn For My Soul" again. I like it more everytime I hear it. Joe Cocker may be getting old, but he still has the right stuff.

Mr. Travel loves Joe Cocker, too! However, after reading the earlier posts, I don't think we'd want to sit near the stage at his show either
:barf:
One of the funniest skits is the one from SNL when John Beluschi did the Joe Cocker imitation - you gotta watch it to the end!

I think John Bulushi did Joe Cocker better than Joe Cocker.

KathieI: I am not making it up. Joe took care of his business during a lull in a song and then picked right up and completed the concert. he was a heavy drunk in those days. He is still one of my favorites.

Maybe in about 10 years the Savannah Center will think about booking acts like Joe instead of bringing back Charo.
