Looking for recommendations for furniture shopping. We have been to city furniture and badcock. Looking for quick delivery. Any recommendations welcome.

Welcome to TOTV. I have seen hundreds of bad experiences. Off hand, I don't remember anyone expressing a good experience. We purchased our furniture from Hudsons in altamonte springs (kind of a suburb of Orlando). We had some problems but all were addressed efficiently and timely. Good luck!

We had very good results from Babettes and Family Furniture both on 441 across from each other in Leesburg. We negotiated and bought floor models. Got discounts and fast delivery.

They basically sell Ashley furniture which is decent quality at a good price. They deliver to the villages.

We bought most of our furniture from Hudson's in Ocala.

We purchased our furniture from Kane's in Ocala because they have a wide variety of contemporary furniture. Good customer service and quick delivery.

If you search "City Furniture" on this site you'll find many comments -- most are negative. We had the worst experience with City and I'd never consider buying anything from them. You might find what you like, they may promise you'll receive it, you might pay for it and even pay extra for a "designer", but then you'll spend a great deal of time fighting to get a refund. And, you might find you have a new house with no furniture in it for Christmas -- like we did. STAY AWAY FROM CITY FURNITURE.

Kane's does not offer refunds easy either. If you don't like it you're mostly stuck with it unless you tell them immediately. They do offer quick delivery though and the quality is pretty good.

We have purchased some less expensive items from City Furniture without any problems whatsoever. They have some very nice things at good prices.

On the other hand, if you are looking for better quality, we prefer Baer's. They have a brand new store in the Orlando area and it's worth the 50 minute drive to go there. We recently purchased some very different items from them: lamps, a classic sofa and ottoman, rattan recliner and a very unusual three-tier end table. We like the fact that Baer's is family owned and has been around for many years.

Do not buy anything because it has fast shipping. You will probably be living with these things for quite a while and waiting an extra few days or a week is not significant in the long run.

Most people I know prefer Babettes but I bought from Kane's in Ocala.

Lifetime warranty and good quality. I also like the contempary look of their furniture.

A nightlight lamp that changes it's color. I thought it was cool.

Another vote for Babettes..........we worked with Tim and enjoyed it. We went to Family Furniture and it was good too, just ended up at Babettes.
