Where to stay in Cooperstown, NY

Planning an August trip - some places already booked or only $500 suites available. Would like to stay in town (easy walking distance of downtown restaurants) up to about $200/night. Any suggestions?

Try the Otasaga Inn it is on the golf course and over looks the lake.

We stayed at the Lake Front Hotel a few years ago. A few blocks from the Baseball Hall of Fame and other attractions are an easy walk. Nothing fancy but the rooms are clean and it's located right on the lake. Also try tripadvisor they list a number of other hotels. Wherever you stay, you will love Cooperstown!
