I would like to know what club presidents are going to do about The Villages new district rule that we cannot have a tour bus pick up residents in the Villages any longer? Does anyone have any legitimate parking areas approved other than Lowe's? What about centrally located for all Villagers? Are you going to follow the rules or just park and hope they don't tow?
We need suggestions on where to have our bus riders park that is a lot not owned by The Villages....HELP...THANKS

I must have missed it. Must say, when we did a neighborhood cruise a few years ago, was really nice to just walk to our neighborhood pool to get picked up, pulling our luggage behind us, and home again when we returned.

I must say that Village government is supposed to represent Village residents. If the developer, who owns the three town squares and most of the rec centers, doesn't want buses loading/unloading on his land, Village government should work with residents, clubs, and the bus companies to find a viable alternative instead of expending their efforts to help the developer enforce his unpopular rules. That would be a much more productive and appreciated expenditure of our valuable village government resources.

Who have you met with? What efforts have you made to save your business? Please let us know so we aren't duplicating your efforts.

My post was removed asking if you were the owner of the business who makes money on your trips and is annoyed that the people who go on the trips don't have easy parking. THAT is your responsibility and should be your expense.

Sometimes people are gone on cruises for many, many days. That takes up a lot of parking spaces and a couple of years ago some vandals broke a lot of windshields on cars parked for that purpose. I think that buying a van and hiring a driver would be wise to pick people up at the door and transport them to your bus wherever it is. Or buying a parcel of land nearby and offering it for parking to the folks who are using your buses.
