I am sorry that Patsy, Jon Benet's mother, had to go to her grave without ever being cleared of suspicion.
How heartbreaking to not only lose a child, but then be suspected of murder.

Barefoot... :agree:..
Last night Nanci Grace was saying that this new DNA means nothing, since it could have been transfered onto her panties, in the place they were packaged..It is such a small amount, it proves nothing...
That beautiful little girl was torchered before she died...

That poor little girl, I cant even imagine the horror she went thru before she died. Dont know if this had any relation to the incident but I am so against painting up little girls faces and dressing them up like little sex sirens. What are their mothers thinking????
(just my opinion)

Yes, Nonie, I agree, I am also very much against child beauty pageants.
The Colorado police suspected the Ramsay family from Day 1. Since the police are now saying that their "favorite suspects" are no longer under suspicion, I would tend to believe the DNA would substantiate that.

I agree Noni..
She was there in public, for every Pedophile to fantasize, and drool over...I forget how many registered Pedophiles there were, in her immediate area.. Too many to name..
I can understand how mom is so proud of her daughter, she wants the word to see her beauty, but on the flip side she is subjecting her to every psycho out there..
This is a strange and dangerous world we live in..

This case has always fascinated me. I'm still not buying the new DNA. It's been way way too long and the Ramsey's have a lot of money. The one thing that they have never been able to explain away and still haven't is the ransom note. Putting down the exact amount of John Ramsey's bonus and all of those experts saying it was Patsy's handwriting. I know that DNA is a much more scientific certainty, but I agree Donna, this could have easily been transferred. There are many many pieces of this case that just don't add up.
My heart broke for that little girl. I agree with Nonie and Bare, this child pageant stuff is just creepy. I really don't think anything good every comes of them.

Sort of think "So what?" Here's a link about Jon Benet Ramsey. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JonBen%C3%A9t_Ramsey
It is certainly enough for reasonable doubt about the Ramsey's guilt in the homicide of their little girl.

Unfortunately and so sadly all too often the family is to blame in the death of a child. I don't know if any of us will ever know for sure. It is hard for me to believe that incest exists too.
I wonder what you all think about the English couple vacationing in Spain whose child disappeared too.

Her autopsy also revealed, repeated trauma to her genitals..This was not done in one night, at the hands of her killer..
The whole case is strange, I agree Chels.. :agree:
Too many what ifs....No definitive answers.

Here are my thoughts about this sad subject---as a psychologist for so many years, and better yet a parent, I know it is a lot harder and takes a lot more energy, to be a good parent than a bad (and I don't mean abusive) parent. The other observation I have made is that parents, even well meaning ones, quite often are meeting their own needs and not the children's needs.

Yes, I agree with you mdblondie. I think Patsy Ramsey was either a beauty queen herself or a frustrated one. As for the English couple, I don't get the same feeling from them. However, I would NEVER leave my child alone in a hotel room, even if it was in eyeshot.
I wouldn't even leave my cats alone in our van when we were moving here. They came into the motel room (pet friendly) and we ate at drive thru's in the car.
My daughter was never left alone unless it was with a family member or a very trusted friend. Usually had all the kids at my house, just like my parents, because it was safer that way. Pajama parties galore! But my heart breaks for those English parents even though I think that was a mistake. Just to think of how they must blame themselves.

I swear to God, they will be interrupting Chelsea Clinton's State of the Union speech to give breaking reports on the Jon Benet Ramsey case. Followed, of course, by the latest OJ news.

Being TV snowbirds and living within 10 minutes of the Ramsey home in Boulder, JonBenet's murder has always held my fascination. It continues to be a mystery ---- was it an intruder or family member? Despite all these years and many investigations, I still have no opinion as to who did it! Some days, I think it was someone from the outside and then I think that's not possible, must be an insider. The ransom note, along with so many other things, truly makes this crime so hard to understand. I just hope justice is achieved for JonBenet and we learn the truth.
