Hello all,
My husband fell one week before the move and hurt his back and threw out a hernia. How convenient, some people will do anything to get out of work!
I'm worn out and hurting everywhere from unpacking, moving:cryin2: ... would like to save my energy to learn pickleball. I am looking for two people who can move a futon, a corner hutch from garage to house, help rearrange furniture, help me lay down large rugs, put a headboard on a bed. Also, to put on a new bathroom shower nozzly thing that for some reason I can't get on right. I can't put anything away until I get the furniture arranged so we are living in disarray. Moving companies are too expense and I think they have a minimum. I imagine this would be a 2 to 3 hr job maybe less.
I did do a search and most of the details that come up on TOTV are from several years ago so I wouldn't think some of the young folks mentioned are probably around anymore (not that I need young folks...)

Thanks in advance. BTW, we are in Brownwood area.

You might want to check with the Village Movers (Mike Mc ... Senior moment). They moved us most efficiently. As they were leaving one of the young men said to call them if we needed things rearranged.

Call Go 2 Guys 352-874-4689. They've helped several of my clients move furniture, unload trucks and the like. I'm sure they'd be happy to help with minor handyman things if you let them know in advance so they can bring some tools.

Thanks Go2Guys unloaded us and although I know they would rearrange furniture they said they didn't put headboards etc. on
I will call Village Movers and see if they can help.

I was going to ask the same question. Just moved in this weekend to partially furnished home and need two bedroom sets switched. Friends suggested Village Movers. Going to try them. Hope your hubby's back is better. Mine escaped the moving by stayin back north!

I ended up using Chris Sikes 352 391-4239 to help move around furniture and install headboard. $125 an hr - took less than an hr. I would have used Go2Guys but I don't think they do installations. They may be cheaper. Both groups are very respectful, fast and friendly.

I just closed on a partially furnished home. Yesterday I called Mike at Village Mover to set something up to switch two heavy bedroom sets. He had Robert and Anthony at my house in about an hour. They were great and efficient. Strongly recommend them.
