A year and one-half to repave less than one mile of city street. Inexcusable no matter what problems they ran into. Government inaction in action. Just wait until they have to start maintenance on Villages roads deeded over to them.

Not commenting on the 466A opening, but asking about this vague reference I see in posts everywhere on TOTV to "the other online paper", or as above, "the paper that shall not be named". What's up with this? Is is a joke poking fun at the Daily Sun? Is it a rule on TOTV not to use other media source names? And, more to the point on this post.......which paper is being referenced? The **************, The Orlando Sentinel, The Ocala Daily News, The Daily Commercial? I check them all out from time to time and don't see anything dastardly or nefarious about anything that any of them have to say, other than taking into account possible political leanings of each, which goes without saying when reading or listening to any media content - print or online.

Thanks for the enlightenment!! :)

It's an online news source called: vi***ges-n**ws.com. It's name cannot be mentioned or it will be deleted.

It's the online "VillagesdashNews.com" (replace dash with a real dash) which won't display properly on TOTV, hence it shall be unnamed.

Ok, I see that the name I put in my post was deleted and changed to all asterisks. And I now know "which" other news source is being referenced. Still unsure as to why though? Is there some sort of feud going on between TOTV owners/operators and those that run that online news source? Did that other source in some way take a shot at TOTV and not allowing their name to be seen on TOTV is retribution?? Is it a competitor thing? That might make some sense, but why that source and not all the rest??

I believe the owner of the other news source formerly worked for the Daily Sun. She is a nice lady. Other than that I have no idea why there is any issue.

What I thought I heard was the former owner of TOTV had banned any references to that other paper (I have no idea why) and when they sold TOTV, the new owner decided to continue the the ban....in other words, children being children!!
