when you don't know what you're talking about, you don't know when your done!

I disagree.

Not sure why I disagree, but I'll post more when I know.

Continued posting by those who don't know what they're talking about is a tasty invitation to hear from those who do.

I like hearing ignorant arguments countered with fact and reality, not fantasy. If the thread getting longer accomplishes that, the let it get long.

I wish there were viewer ranking buttons here to show which posts readers find useful/factual as many news blogs and Amazon consumer comments do, and then the comments can be sorted by readers to see what the growing consensus is.

There are lots of ignorant stereotypes slapped onto Villagers and seeing reader approval/agreement on posts would be interesting.

I agree. There are some people who are experts on EVERYTHING and post on just about every topic. Its nice to see them get educated.

It's a fun place to get opinions... even if they aren't based on facts.:loco:

We have a small group of people who feel it necessary to give an opinion of virtually every post. I guess they fancy themselves experts on everything. I find it annoying.

Sunny, did you know there is a button at the top of each thread to rate that thread?
I don't think individual posts can be rated, that would indeed be interesting. :Screen_of_Death:

I think people keep posting not knowing the horse is already dead. Just whip it a little more and maybe it will hop up and run...

When a thread gets really long, like the one about Katie Belles, no-one bothers to read all the preceding posts.
So the same info tends to get posted over and over --- :blahblahblah:

Almost any long thread can contain a post from the grammar and spelling police.

And then a reply saying that we don't need no grammer and no speling poleese. This here forum is jest to share ideers. So git lost

So that gets two more right there.

That Looneycat had me fooled for quite some time. He is a lot smarter than he looks.

My observations: People who copy and paste entire studies or books lengthen a thread significantl. Lectures take up more space than comments because the poster goes into blah blah blah mode to prove his/her point. I'll stop there so I don't become one of them.
