Few heed restaurant calorie postings, but numbers are growing - LA Times (http://www.latimes.com/science/sciencenow/la-sci-sn-posted-calorie-20150120-story.html)

Calorie posting is now the law of the land for chain outlets.

I thought nutritional content posting for chain restaurants had been required for the past few years.
I sometimes check nutritional info, my husband doesn't ever check labels.
I don't think it's healthy to be obsessed with food choices.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In 2009, a year after New York City, Seattle required calorie labeling on the menus of restaurants. Its evaluation found (http://www.foodpolitics.com/wp-content/uploads/Press-Release-KC-Menu-Labeling-FINAL.docx):Calorie information awareness and use increased significantly from 2008 to 2010…the proportion who saw and used calorie information tripled, from 8.1% to 24.8%…White, higher income, and obese respondents had greater odds of seeing calorie information….Significant increases in calorie information awareness and use following regulation support the population-wide value of this policy.

Paying excess taxes is also the law of the land. It's not right and I don't like it. Bare and Bonny are right. Moderation!

Let me state it my own way: some people need to get a life, get a grip, and get beyond it. A one track mind is an obsessed mind locked in the past.

What a miserable life, examining every bite of food under a mental microscope as if it were a lab SPECIMEN.

Physical health - excellent if you believe everything that's been posted.

Emotional health - Don't bet on it.

Every time I think I'm out I get pulled back in.

Due to forum addiction, I no longer have time to read calorie counts.

I think we encourage bad behavior by continuing to post Responses. (I know I responded!!!). I think we should do everything in our power to not read or respond to the same ole, same ole posts. I challenge you to hold out longer than me. Deal?:beer3:
