Tile too light . Can't respond to Pm

I received an email saying I have a pm in my in box. When I go to my inbox it's not there and am unable to respond. Any Suggestions.

If you send a PM, you get an email that you have a new PM, but there is nothing in the in box, it is your message in the sent items. This confused me for a while until I realized what was going on.
