Rentals during election year

Just wondering if the 2016 presidential election will be good for homeowners who rent their properties? With Bush, Rubio & Walker campaigning so much here, I'd think there would be lots of activity.

Did things pick up in 2012 when Romney campaigned here?

Not really. Since most candidates hit all if the states, they show up in your neck of the woods regardless of where you are. I doubt any politician would be enough to draw in renters.
