View Full Version : Location Question

Happy Monday to all.

I have another quick question I'm hoping someone can answer. I have been doing some research about homes in TV, but I keep running into one obstacle. I see houses all listed in whatever village they occupy (like Bonita, Hadley, Hacienda, etc), but I cannot find a map anywhere that shows where these villages are. I'd think it would be of importance to at least some people other than myself to want to see a general map of the area to decide if one house is more favorably located to things I'd like than another. For instance, if I'm a more of a movie and bowling buff than a golfer, I'd look at houses closer to the theatre or bowling alley than the first tee of a course. That sort of thing. Does anyone know of where I can get an online map of the differing areas?

Thanks for your help.

Here is a map of villages below 466:

Here is a golf course location map:

Here is one of all the rec centers: (Use this one to locate village names since the pool name is also the village name:

The best way is to get the $5 map which has everything plus every street name.

See this thread for that info: https://www.talkofthevillages.com/smf/index.php/topic,5939.0.html

I found this map showing each Village to be very helpful:

www.lylesellsflorida.com
Click on Villages - Map on the left hand side (7th item down)
Map 6 of 7 shows each Village

There is also a search button at the top of the TOTV screen (in black).
If you type in a subject there, it will give you previous posts on any topic.

Good luck.

That Lyle link didn't seem to work - try this one:

Although it is not available on line, the Villages Street map, available at Banner Mercantile in either LSL or SS is probably the best map of the Villages for locations of pretty much anything you might want to find.

Before we made our lifestyle visit I was very frustrated not to have an adequate map showing just what you wanted to see. The one from Lylesells is good, but NOT nearly as good as the one that is five dollars from the Sales Center or the Mercantile store in the Villages. We carried it around until it literally fell apart and then were rained down upon with maps after we closed. :dontknow: Although I am up in Cincinnati right now and our new home is in Hadley, I still have one at my desk and one in the car. It is confusing to know where you want to be, although everything is pretty close to everything else once you get the hang of it. Good luck and best wishes.

You can order the $5 map to be mailed to you from the Mercantile store - 352-753-2129

http://www.virhttp://www.virginiatrace.com/ is a great link and has the best online map

A small caution about the $5 map: Several of the newest villages are not identified at all (other than, perhaps, by the postal station id). So far as I know, the street names and such important info is accurate, but the absence of village names is a glaring error in the map.

It is, however, the really only acceptable map for finding one's way around!

Which villages are missing? I'm not doubting you I just would like to know for my own research. My map goes to 466A with all the streets and villages listed near 466A. Even streets that have no homes yet.

I've got a recent map, and all villages down to 466a including Hadley and Hemingway all seem to be there. Which are missing??

Ditto that the TV official map, the $5 one, is the best map available for streets and golf cart trails. Lots of free maps, but they just don't hold a candle (though the freebies DO show the railroad tracks on the west side of TV that the official map doesn't...). Not sure about the newer villages on the map.
