Dang, I went to the box office last Monday to get tickets, not realizing that they were not available until today. So This rainy morning I took my time and got there at 10:30. SOLD OUT!!!
I guess I should have realized that all the new controversy regarding the proposed project with Wildwood would draw extra attendance, but I am bummed! I really wanted to attend.
So here I am, whining. Sorry, not my normal demeanor.....Carry on..

We have two of the last 25. Usually some time after the talk one can view it on the WEB because we have watched it there too. Just wanted to see the theater and hear what they have to say

I got to the LSL office at 8:05 and got in line. I think there were about 30 in front of me.
I knew to get there early. At least in the Savannah Center they have an overflow room.

This will be my first attendance but my expectations are very low for any information other than what has been published. Those that are looking for discussions of "deals" in progress (all those stores we want to see) or expansion plans I believe, will be disappointed. Call me a pessimist but I don't see how telling us about anything not completed would make any sense. I do hope he does address some of the rationale behind what has been completed or has been announced.

That is true, seen it for the past 15 years. Most business men don't divulge plans until they are firm, just good business.
He doesn't need to explain any rationale for what he does, why would he?

If you are one of the fortunate ones to have a home here in The Villages, count your blessings and it really dies not matter what he says. It's all good!
For those that have been to these presentations before, what does he talk about?
He talks about successes & plans. Very much like a state of the Union speech.

For those that have been to these presentations before, what does he talk about?
One of the things he said in 2010 was that there would be no more houses. Ha!!

Here is my perception of Gary Morse, in his recent obituary.
"Meanwhile, in 1983, Schwartz bought out his partner, Al Tarrson, in Orange Blossom Gardens and found himself with 1,600 acres of land. That’s when Morse, having closed his advertising business and moved back to Michigan to concentrate solely on his restaurant, made the decision to come to Florida and oversee Orange Blossom Gardens, which then consisted of 386 mobile homes, a clubhouse and a few shuffleboard courts.
Together, the duo started making improvements by adding swimming pools, golf courses and loads of recreational activities. They sold 99 homes in the balance of 1983 and 277 in 1984.
The early days of OBG were marked by money going out faster than it came in. In the fall of 1984, Morse messaged his father in Chicago: “We have so many homes under construction, we’ll be $100,000 short on cash flow in September. Shall I slow down sales or can you cover it?”
Schwartz’s reply: “Keep selling, and build one for me as soon as you can. I’d like to retire there, too.”
Schwartz kept that promise and moved to OBG in 1985, when homes sales were surpassing one per day. He soon invited the rest of his family to follow, and before long, all of Gary’s children were here as well."
His fiscal responsibility attracted tens of thousands of fiscally responsible home buyers now known as Villagers.

My perception is he tries to get away with anything he can but it doesn't work everywhere, quite as well as it does here.
