Hi everyone,
Well we are about a year out from selling our prime residence and moving to the Villages for about 7 months of the year. The plan is to be in Maine for the summer. We are both turning 65 by the end of this year and our heads are swimming with medicare options..supplemental vs. Medigap....
We want a plan that will work in both locations should we need medical care during the summer...
I know this is a huge topic but I would really appreciate any advice. We currently are living in Massachusetts and it would be nice to be able to keep some of our docs as well.

Would love to hear what others in our situation are doing. We are pretty healthy but do take about 3 prescriptions each a month.

I am going through the same selection process as a future snowbird. I talked to my broker in Ohio last week and he said that Aetna has what's called a "Value Plan" here in Ohio that has a "travel option" which allows you to select a primary care doctor in the area you are going to be traveling to for part of the year. The rules for this option say that you can only live in the travel area for less than 6 months. So if either Maine or Florida has a similar Aetna plan, you could opt for it.
