Yes, whatever remaining credibility the Baltimore Mayor had (which was not much) was just flushed down the toilet when she invited the circus act into town.
I'm beginning to think Baltimore deserves what it gets if this is the best leadership people can vote into office. Does anyone wonder why people move out??

White sheet award for the day!
So what do you say about the Rev. Al stepping in to prevent her from speaking to the Press this PM ?
She has been silent for days now she hides behind the Reverend Al .
Al by the way never graduated from any Divinity school of any kind nor was he ever Vested by any recognized organized religion .
But he is the major spokesman for the far Left and the number one expert on Race Relations in the country .

And what is the GOP's black caucus position on the situation in Baltimore? Oh that's correct, there is no GOP black caucus.
Or put another way, what is the GOP's one black senator and one black congresswoman's position? Why aren't they out there on TV presenting their solutions to this rioting.

I always thought that managing a City and it`s police was a local not a national issue so why do we need a National Caucus of any type to speak out about Baltimore ?
Why ? Maryland has it`s own Court system to deal with any legal action against any Baltimore police official who may have not acted properly .
This should not be an issue for our National Government . Black Mayor , Black Police Chief , Black City Counsel , Black School Chief -- public tax dollars from all over the nation handed over to them . What more do you want ? 50 years of publicly funded social programs from the Left social experts .
So what do you want more money ? Is that your solution ? More money ? More programs ?

Time to get real ...
First thing we do is STOP making excuses all the time for criminal behavior and burning down one's own city
The solutions are obvious and have been for years.
1. Have a Mommy and Daddy raise the babies
2. instill religious values and teach the value of hard work
3. get a good education to include leaning how to behave properly and speak proper English
4. get a job and be responsible
Your solution ... throw more money at it? Make excuses for rioters? Basically, your insidious liberal polices have enslaved black people for years now. The liberals run the plantation in Baltimore and most every other large dysfunctional cities ... Detroit, NYC, etc. When do you pull your heads out and actually FIX the problem?

Yes, that sounds good...but how are you going to enforce 1) to have a Mom and Dad raise the babies; 2) instill religious values (I thought people are free to believe or not); and will a job opportunity be there for someone with the high school education that can feed, clothe, pay rent, and support the family?
It is not only the black kids in inner cities who need help. Just look at Fruitland Park, Lady Lake, Wildwood, or the Ocala Forest. True, there are not race riots (most are white kids) there but there is the great poverty and the high rate of illegimate births the nearby counties.
What is the solution that CAN be done?

First we have to "raise awareness"! That seems to be very important.
Then, we have to ask what the LGBTQ community thinks about this and everything else. Hopefully they can help us raise even more awareness - that's really important you know.
Then we'll pass a non-binding resolution of support. That seems to be very important.
Next, we'll propose tax increase on "the wealthy". They're the enemy you know. Oh, and also big corporations - they're evil you know.
Finally, we'll demand renewable power for all the fixes because that's very important you know. Maybe we should raise more awareness?

Incredible naive post.
SIX YEARS....6 years....control of both houses of congress and the WH. Not one word, no legislation proposed, NOTHING , but in this posters head it is on the back of the other party. THIS attitude of party first is dooming us all.

Now pay close attention : Those were not " Thugs " you saw on your TV screen . Despite the fact that the Mayor and the President called them " Thugs ".
They are now to be called " Misguided Young People " . Yeah that`s the ticket !

She can hide but she cannot run.
Orde ring those who are sworn to serve and protect to stand down when they and the citizens are in harms way?
Ordering the police to not wear protective gear to not offend the rioters?
Her final act of national stupidity? Bringing in Al Sharpton!!
Any question where this incompetent fool's priorities are?
The woman needs to be fired.

Instead of trying to be cutsey, why not offer up some actual solutions to prevent future and similar situations? Being sarcastic is not what is needed but try to propose a solution that is feasiblle.

This is funny because unfortunately it's true ... listen to some of the lame solutions offered by the Left ... this post pretty much nails it except for one thing.
We always need more "investment" which is another way of saying wealth redistribution from higher and higher taxes. It's a broken record ...

What is the solution that CAN be done?
Ok serious question so here's a serious answer about what CAN be done?
1. First thing to do is pay attention to Einstein's definition of insanity. To wit, since what we've done for 50 years has not worked, stop doing more of it.
2. Recognize there is no perfect solution but, over the past several hundred years of modernity, what seems to have worked best to pull most people out of poverty is a mix of Christianity and Capitalism.
3. Recognize that "poverty" is more a state of mind and cultural condition that pure economics. Most in the inner city still live better than most around the world. If a family makes $34k per year, that puts them in the top 1% relative to the entire world population
We are the 1%: You need $34k income to be in the global elite... and half the world's richest live in the U.S. | Daily Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2082385/We-1--You-need-34k-income-global-elite--half-worlds-richest-live-U-S.html)
4. Drugs destroy the inner city and other places. You can see the effects in Wildwood, Fruitland Park and elsewhere. Watch the HBO series The Wire and you'll likely end up supporting the death penalty for hard drug dealing (which is what the guy in Baltimore was doing btw ... did not deserve to die at hands of cops but he had been arrested 20+ times and sold heroin)
5. Bottom line: religious values are the ONLY hope to bring people out of cultural poverty, despair and destruction. No government can ever do thiat. A strong two parent family is the key .. which is why the family was invented a few millennia ago.
6. We need a religious and moral revival or we'll continue to descend into the swamp. "Enlightened" liberals will roll their eyes but most people, especially those with common sense, know this is the only path out.

Your not going to get any rational discussion on this subject matter because the liberals have boxed it in. Either you support the black community unconditionally or if you don't then your a racist.
The tragedy in Baltimore was not about race it was about what can go wrong during a routine arrest. The deceased was a known drug dealer and was on drugs when arrested. However liberals allowed this to turn into a racial issue despite the entire town being run by blacks for blacks.
The mayor has her eye on a senate seat. In my personal opinion she has not only been counseled by Sharpton but also Holder with Obama being advised. This is not far fetched. If Obama can get involved in a simple dispute between a cop and a black professor (Gates) with the eventual result of having a beer and a talk sit down in support of the professor, well then certainly Baltimore his higher on Obama's screen.
In my view Holder , Obama and their tool Sharpton have created some of this unrest. Obama leaves a vacuum in the middle east but over reaches in his support for the black community and much like Di Blasio throwing cops under the bus . Yet he is suppose to be president for all citizens....don't white folks lives matter too?
I am appalled at the handling of this situation by Obama, Holder, Sharpton and the leadership in Baltimore. I am tired of the black community thinking their the only ones with grievances with cops and they are the only ones being treated unfairly. I am tired of dealing with people who are not adults and believe violence and mayhem by them is justified.
Apparently they didn't even have faith in their own black leadership to wait for a complete investigation and rendering a decisions to seek indictments before they hit the streets.
So the end result is blacks complain that whites think unfairly about the actions of black wearing hoodies but black wearing hoodies were seen on television committing violence....what's wrong with this optic? And liberals blame Republicans because they don't understand how slavery is still hurting blacks and they deserve pass after pass after pass because whites need to atone for their sins
Sad that their chants for justice are not inclusive for all Americans

Wow excellent and spot on analysis.
Comment about Mayors political aspirations also accurate. She is already living proof of the Peter Principle hence the logical next step for her is to aim higher where she can do even more damage

I am all for the majority! And the results reflect what happens when they stay home! As a result she got 87% of who ever showed up. I wonder what the demographics of that 87% were?

You truly don't get do you? When a people give 87% of their vote to one party they get taken for granted, ignored and to some extent re- enslaved. How foolish, unwise and predictable
Baltimore is a hellhole courtesy of the Democrat party and their sick ideology.

I would like to know how many registered voters there were.
For example there could be one hundred thousand registered voters and if only 100 of them voted and 87 voted for her she got 87%.
So as is usually the case a percent number by itself means nothing without understanding the basis and make up of the total involved.
