My husband and I were planning a trip to see the Bok Tower. Has anyone visited there? What attractions do they have there? Thank you.

I Would suggest you google the website. That will be the most information and the most current information. Boktowergardens.org. Last time I was there was 1965+/-. Things are likely slightly different.

Citrus Tower in Clermont is only about a 35 minute drive via the turnpike and I think it's only $4 to go up. The Citrus Tower | World Famous Observation Tower (http://www.citrustower.com/) I think Bok Tower is in Lake Wales, which is also on Hwy 27. You could probably hit both in one day.

Been there 4 times in last 3 years. Very relaxing, pretty and unusual. You won't see a carillon tower like that too often anywhere much less Lake Wales, FL. Nice gardens and good walking paths. Nice volunteers who are mostly older locals who are as interesting as Bok and love to talk about it.

I see they have a Mothers Day show coming up which would be a nice time to go. Boktoberfest was a good event if you want to wait till October.

Don't miss the walking tour of Pinewood Estate. Beautiful place. Best time is Christmas when each room is highly decorated by competing artists. Terrific job. Remember to ask about Mountain Lakes.

Get there early enough for coffee and a bun on the veranda at the Blue Palmetto cafe. Very nice.

Check the website for hours, etc.

Was going to close recommending an end of day meal at Chalet Suzanne but alas, Chalet Suzanne in Lake Wales to Close After 83 Years of Business | TheLedger.com (http://www.theledger.com/article/20140702/NEWSCHIEF/140709847).
