I've been curious about this and maybe someone has an answer. On 466A across from where The Villages is currently building, all those property addresses start with 00...like "00757". I thought it was a fluke when I saw the first address, but anyone that has a sign up there with the address on it the address starts with "00". I just don't get it...why use the 0's?

Are those street address numbers, or fire department numbers?

I thought a leading digit had either been removed or fell off the wall.

It may have something to do with the post office. Sometimes when streets in adjoining communities have the same name they set up different numbering systems for them.
The same for streets in the same town with different designations such as Elm St, Elm Ave, Elm Court, Elm Circle, Elm Terrace.
There are thirty homes on my street and the numbers start with 1000.
I don't know that this is the case on 466A. It's just a thought.
