Other than be there early, does anyone have any strategies about purchasing tickets?

Don't just get there early, get there first.

Ahhhh YES...I get that! Thanks!
I just find the whole procedure mind boggling! It would be so much easier if each event had a code number to order the tickets by. I have a strategy put together...I hope it works!

You do not have to get there early.... tickets for almost all activities can be purchased online at Home - The Villages Entertainment * Special Events * Box Office (http://www.thevillagesentertainment.com)

Some appear to be available on line and others only through the box office.

Does online purchasing begin Thursday morning at 8:30 like box office? I'm new at this.

We're new at all this too and Bogie Shooter shared this site last year. There was no on line in 2014 that we saw. I'm going to check the site when I get up on Thursday morning. It appears to be very popular and things fill quickly.
I noticed last year some people listed their tickets on this forum when their plans changed and no longer needed the tickets. I plan to watch again this year for those ticket too.

We purchased what we needed as well! Felt like I was waiting for Rolling Stones concert tickets to go on sale! Had my iPad ready to go at 8:30.

Take a chair and lots of water. I was there last year to buy tickets not available online and waited nearly three hours. Hope it's better organized this year.

Hubby and I waited 2 hours this morning and still wasn't close to the front of the line in SL. I drove home ordered them on line, with an extra $3 charge per ticket, and went back to pick him up. Unreal.

I got there at 0705 and had my tickets at 0930. Sounds worse than it was. Beautiful morning and lots of nice Villagers. Brought a chair and was glad I did.
I thought TV did a great job with the forms they provided. Nicely organized. Can't wait for Bug College!

We got what we needed on line except the Cart Scavenger hunt, grand kids will have to deal with it since we were not standing in line. Anyone know why some were online and others were only box office?

I was able to obtain all the camp tickets that I was hoping to get, on-line at 8:30AM. Although there was NO CHARGE to print the tickets at home, I was charged a total of $31.00 EXTRA for "Web Ticket Fees". What is that about? Heck, I did all the work!

That was a web fee (cost of web design and maintenance for a web site to purchase tickets), the printing at home was free.

You did all the work except designing and maintaining the web site.
