We are considering having our driveway done by Go Concrete or Florida Deck. We like the look of the acrylic/concrete overlay, but we were wondering about durability issues and whether cracking from the underlying (original) concrete will become a problem down the road. We have had a corner crack in the original concrete driveway, which has been repaired twice, via The Villages Warranty Dept. The crack continues to return... and there is currently a small chunk of concrete missing.
Florida Deck told us that they can fix it with an acrylic filler...and that they come across and repair this problem frequently. Go Concrete told us that they can level it out with the material they use ... but that it may well crack again and cause a problem with the overlay ...which would not be warranted.
Has anyone had any experience with a similar issue? Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.
