Do I have to pay for trash pick-up in Silver Lake of Lady Lake. I would prefer to bring my own garbage to the dump verses paying every 3 months as I have always done that before moving to the Villages. I called WM and they said that they have a contract with the 'Lady Lake' area through the villages and we have to pay whether I want to or not. I called the Villages number and was told that when we signed our paperwork to buy the house it was part of the deed. Hum. Just questioning. Thanks for the info.

Yes, everyone must pay. We pay even when we're in Canada!

As far as I know you do. Even people that don't live here year round have to pay monthly even though they are nt there to use the svc.

I am in Silver Lake and Progressive took over months ago for trash pick up. I don't get a bill since it's included in my taxes. I was paying WM when they picked up but turned out they had to pay me back for almost a year when I found out it was included in the tax bill.

Hum, Interesting. I guess I will have to check my tax bill. Does it clearly state trash removal on the tax bill. So Progressive is the name of the trash hauler?

I contacted my neighbor and he said that he has to pay as well whether there or not.

I'm not sure what you are asking, sorry. Lady Lake is our address, Silver Lake is our Village within The Villages. My neighbor 2 houses down has been at TV for 10 years and he is with WM so I'm guessing I'm the same.

Was asking Giggles if they live in the unincorporated area...the Lake County website indicates that the unincorporated area of Lake County is served by Progressive for waste hauling.

On my tax bill, it's in the middle of the page under NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENTS
Solid Waste Services $168.00. There is a number to call for information, 352 253 1672

Thanks. I did look on my bill and see exactly what you are talking about. Nope we don't have it listed on our taxes so I guess WM is who we have.
