Due to the great coupons we have been visiting Burger King in Spanish Springs. Today we ordered 2 Chicken Sandwiches with fries at reduced price to eat in. Received the large, long bun, but when we looked inside, there was 2 Hamburgers in each (must have a new chef). Took them to counter and they quickly exchanged them for the chicken sandwiches. Received the chicken, took one bite, which seemed kind of different or strange, looked at the chicken, and it was breading only, kind of split down the middle with no chicken, tasting terrible and somewhat hard. Took to manager (I think, not sure) at counter, he looked and said, "Just breading", I'll get you another. Told him no, I have lost my appetite. Looked at other chicken sandwich we purchased, which tasted strange to my better half, returned it to counter, again counter person offered another and we declined. I would of appreciated a "sorry for all the problems" or some jester of good faith. I guess no more Burger King on my menu. I am posting this to make you aware of one day at Burger King, not every day. But let me tell you, because it was such a terrible meal, I have no incline to return.

You've solved your own problem then.

Hello Dude 175. I don't know how long you have lived in this area, but I've been here 7 years and visited here for the last 10 or 11 years. That Burger King has ALWAYS been terrible. Sometimes their credit card system doesn't work, sometimes they close the store earlier than posted, sometimes their soda machine is inoperative, sometimes, sometimes, sometimes. Have I gone to this place each and every time it's been a "sometimes"? No, but I know others who have OR others who have posted on TOTV. I gave them 3 "sometimes" and now I go to other places at "all times". Amazes me that Corporate keeps this place in business.

I definitely prefer the BK on 466 and it isn't all that great. Tis is a shame since the one on 441 is much closer. On the plus side, it keeps my intake of fast food to about once a month and then only if starved and short on time.

I'll take Chick-Fil A any day over BK for consistency. And how do you feel about a $15/hour minimum wage for places like this?

Perhaps the service would have been better if the minimum wage was $15.00 per hour............

I have not eaten at Burger King since moving to The Villages. Five Guys is so much better for both burgers and fries.

As far as discussing higher minimum wages, save it for the Political forum. Thanks.

...Five Guys is so much better for both burgers and fries...

No disagreement here. But BK has onion rings...yummy.

My mother likes Burger Kings so we often stop at the one on Bichara/441. I think they recently changed management. The decor was freshened and it was cleaner. Our service was OK the last time. Sorry to hear you had a problem.

The drive thru. They always put it to you at the drive thru. You know why? They know you will drive 5 miles home in a hurry where you check and see you got the wrong order and you'll be to tired and ticked off to go back. Always check your order at the window. Let the others behind you wait.:ohdear:

BK changed their french fries some years back and I haven't been back since.

Send this thread to the home office and maybe it will help.

I was in there the other day and they were out of ketchup, napkins and french fries.

Forget the coupons.....head to Glenview Country Club for Saturdays $5.50 "Cheeseburger in Paradise....it is outstanding and just a hop-skip and a "jump" away. Although they do not use coupons. Many people design their eating outings around coupons. JUST like if you see a physician that has to advertise, if you see a burger joint putting out coupons, they need more business...................it's for a reason. I'll even take my Chick-Fil-A, Five Guys and Wendy's (outperforming McDonald's now) WITHOUT the coupons over BK......

I'm usually slow to "burn", but when I do reach that point as I have with Burger King, I write an email to management at their home office. Have no idea if my complaint does reach the right people, but I definitely do let them know their store at whatever location does not come up to their corporate standards.

Have actually received phone calls from another company who I have advised of their poor company store and/or personnel.

I really think this could be a solution if we all write to corporate heads. Try to make your note polite, but state date, time and problems you perceive with the store. Enough complaints from all of us might make one of their secret shoppers come and visit this store.

The Glenview Club does have the absolute best bargain on Saturday but you have to buy a drink of some kind, too. No problem! A cold beer makes the Cheeseburger in Paradise even better.

I like mine with lettuce and tomato
Heinz 57 and French fried potatoes
Big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer

Your suggestion is probably a good one. I prefer to just vote with my feet and avoid the restaurant.
