The tropical island paradise of Bora Bora & Tahiti are amazing places. The scent of the flowers and sea , combined with the unforgettable landscapes are seared into ones memory. I truly meant using the word " seared " as it is unbearably hot and humid. The indigenous island people look like they walked off a Gauguin painting. Fruit freshly picked, are mouth watering.
A once in a lifetime adventure that I highly recommend for anyone's " bucket list "

We sailed from Honolulu to Sydney on The Carnival Spirit in 2012. They were repositioning the ship to Sydney, so we got a great fare. It was 17 days.

The first port was Fiji, Then Bora Bora, Moorea, Tahiti. It was a fabulous trip. We arrived in Sydney and flew to Cairns to snorkel the great Barrier Reef. Returned to Sydney and did a week of seeing the sights. It was a bucket list trip that we will never forget.

If we could go back to any of the places we visited, I think Bora Bora would be our first pick. The pacific Polynesian islands are fantastically beautiful and other worldly. We could have stayed forever. But to have visited was a dream come true!
